a few summer themed parties for you to throw
summer is such a fun month for hosting. it feels effortless in a way it never quite does the rest of the year. the days stretch longer, so there's no rush to get everyone fed before the light disappears. the warm weather and evening light let your home open up, guests and dinner spilling out onto the lawn or patio.
i find in the summer the vibes come built in—everyone’s just happy to be able to be outside, with good company, having fun. it’s such a great season to take advantage of hosting and activities that you can bring outside to soak up the warmth while it’s here. you can go all out, lean into a theme and really have fun with it. that doesn’t mean your summer hosting has a big production—you can just toss some food on the grill, put a pitcher of something cold on the table, throw on a playlist, and people are happy. but if you want to take things up a notch, i put together a few fun summer dinner party themes.
summer camp / summerween
what could be more nostalgic and perfectly summer than a summer camp or summerween theme. i’m counting these as one because i feel like there is so much overlap, and it’s easy to take a summer camp theme and make it a little spooky for summerween.
